I am sorry life and the choices we
make that ultimately destroy the connections we never intended to lose or break
the promises we commit to that change our souls forever.
Yours, mine, and every spirit soul that connects
in our paths of the journey still yet ahead.
Chatting with a friend reminded me of you Rocky. New Year’s eve in Manhattan watching the
ball drop or hitting the club dancing to Braxton’s remix of Unbreak my heart. Oh, those years in that part of my own
journey while I was out trying to save the world just so I did not have to know
my own healing that was needed. God
certainly knew those puzzle pieces needed to be fitted in slowly to understand
what would be up ahead.
We just
knew back then didn’t we. Maybe riding
by the old brownstone, a couple weeks ago remembering…
If I could turn back time, I would never change a single moment we laughed,
faught, tried to grow forward, caused massive waves with that unforgettable laughter
you had. If I had a super-power, it
would have been to heal you; heal you to know how beautiful and what talent and
opportunity to be anything you wanted.
You know gave you that power that you would soar and not just settle because
of where you had been. That the addictions
you fought would have been filled with growth, purpose and yes, the light of
Jesus.
The day I received the message as I was sitting
sipping a Mojito with the girls on one of those beautiful islands; that you had
passed. I knew you were not
suffering any longer. Even if it was
when you gave it all to God that he released you and took you home will forever
stick with me. Along with pieces of me
that have come to pass.
The broken commitments of all that we consume in
this world that makes us think we will be fulfilled; only later to find
ourselves sneaking around and wanting or taking more. Or being crushed that those who committed to
us were not at all faithful and true and more importantly willing to fight
along side us for any future up ahead.
We need to know we do not need to remain prisoners
of all the let downs in the world. Every day we are allowed up we have so many possibilities
to believe in the new horizon that shines brightly and is waiting for us to add
our beautiful colors and growth into the world.
We all stand for something or nothing at all. Do you stand in faith for all you were
created to be? Not what the world says
you are because of talents or work you do.
It is hard knowing what you want to be, what you
want to do and so easily distracted when you get knocked down from life
events. Those could be of people, places,
or things.
Yet to know if he got you up again today no matter
what you look like, feel like, sound like.
You have purpose to dive in and live your dream and shine.
It takes obedience, dedication, and allot of sweat
equity and sometimes even more tears to believe enough to see it.
What do you see?
Crazy to believe in what is unseen in the God and Son and Holy Spirit
that has been unchanged and alive for centuries. Yet so hard to believe in a pen pal you never
seen that writes about love and endless promises of passion and compassion into
a future; yet even though they can show up they never do. Only to get upset when you just keep it real.
No expectations: I am always me. However, if I am to believe in anything of
this world or in anyone of this world, I am truly a show me person.
For so long and so many times I believed in so
many only to find out their addictions, their drive and purpose, the me’ism
that controlled them proved to be more selfish than the truth they were willing
to put up front until they could not hide it any longer.
Rocky was real, a nickname; as he could have been
Rocky Balboa.
Anyway
Then, now, and always. Love run’s deep and there few that get the
best of my heart strings that once they do; no matter how it turns out are
forever a piece of me.
No matter what you are selling or selling out to;
help is always waiting for you. Jesus is
Jesus was, and Jesus will always be the anchor that you should be grasping on
and seeking direction.
He is never early or late, but he is right there
in front of you, next to you, above you, beneath you. Just waiting for you to open your mind,
your heart and call out to invite him in.
You see it does not matter that you are doing
things that you are worried if the wrong people of the world will find out they could ruin your career, family, marriage,
or relationship. God knows everything from every cell and molecule
within your very being. If you believe your soul lives on once it
leaves the vessels you been blessed with here and now. You know that once this temple shuts down, you’re
going in one direction or the other for eternity. I personally want to live in God’s love,
harmony peace and blessings. I want to
know and learn how I can enjoy and be the peace and harmony here and now. Oh, I miss it on any given day or night
letting things in that cause the friction and unkindness that surrounds me, or
I give out.
But the peace and love that fills me with Jesus far
outweighs what I was filled with when I thought I could do life on my own.
Biblically speaking find out for yourself. Seek no agenda friends, get into small
groups to study the word and challenge what man teaches. God is love, moral value of your own being
and all others around you.
He is not
a reason to be a doormat or set yourself up for harms way. Nor is he that unending forgiveness for us
to go out and do things that are not right and later ask forgiveness only to do
them again.
Yes, you die to yourself and what drives you of
the flesh or purpose to do so at least.
And well let me say this. You do
not have to be a Jesus follower, or Jesus’ freak or even a believer in god to have
moral value and when you say you are committed in union with someone. You are true to your commitment. Long
before I ever met Jesus or knew even a glimpse who God was, is and will
be. I have always believed in love,
honor and when you say you are committed you never step out.
I am also the one for my entire life when I was
out there. That know what it is like to
be let down, cheated on and outright disrespected. Just because someone does not speak up
does not mean they do not know the truth.
I almost ruined my children doing everything I
could bending over backwards to tolerate and take what should have never
been. Just to remain in something
unfixable and should have never been in the first place.
Never been one for flings, one-night stands, try
it and let’s see where it goes. Yes,
been married, divorced. Even in long
term relationships unmarried playing house.
Standing with my head down in my
hands wondering if I did something different; even questioning maybe I needed
to be more like that everyone else seemed to be.
I am glad I never did become that person that was
out to take whatever they could get. Beyond
blessed to have the spirit to just keep plugging forward. Beyond blessed the day God opened my eyes
and made me realized I was never alone.
That being single, sassy and so very satisfied on any given day was so
much better than pretending in that not so happily ever after.
Even though they teach you to share in kindergarten
I have never been one that will share someone that is supposed to be committed
to me. Nor will I be the one that just
gets out there and gives away any parts of me just for a feeling, a rush; yes,
that euphoric high like drugs when passion sets you on fire and that climax
comes and go within seconds. Left to
recover and crave it over and over.
My thoughts and perspectives and they have gotten
me by most days throughout this blessed journey. We all believe something. We all believe in someone or many. The truth always sets us free and, on
many occasions, hurts…
But no pain no gain. If you have to lie about anything, why say
or do anything at all?
Anyway, here I am this twisted turning mind maze
on Saturday morning. Waiting for it to
dry up a bit to go paint a little outside then go circle up with what feeds my
spirit and worship and get the word of God to help me keep growing forward. One thing I know for sure is if you want to
achieve you have to believe and you have to stay focused.
You cannot
do everything and get the same results of remaining focused on what matters and
what you want to be or do.
If you want a lifelong commitment at some point in
your life you cannot just jump into any or all and you absolutely cannot just
give yourself away and expect it to last.
Takers always take and givers always give but there are both that seek
the same goals and beliefs that at some point come together and honor commitment
and work together to make it last. Actions
always speak louder than words.
Sure, we can obtain things and go places at the
expense of others, even becoming collectors just to say we have it or have done
it or have been there. We cannot
take anything we collect with us when our check time is here. Everyone knows that in the blink of an eye;
wind in a storm or flood everything we make so important here and now. All those material things that we allow to
convince ourselves make us. Well just
like that all that hard work and effort snapping your fingers can be gone.
Building a life on what lives deep down in your
soul and will forever build memories and go with your spirit. That which you help others build theirs up
with as well… For me that is what matters most. Comfort, pleasure and all that other stuff
is nice and yes, we are blessed when we get it, have it or do it! But that which lasts beyond forever into
eternity.
We all get to choose what we will dream, believe,
act upon, or run from. Been there, done
that and wrote the book. My next 30 to
50 years or seconds I am given. I
believe in the God that breathed life out of dust. Sacrificed and showed us what love and
beauty can be and should be through Jesus Christ and allows us to invite the Holy
Spirit back into our beings.
I believe there is allot of good allot of really
bad and so many stuck in the middle and if I have to share those dirty little
secrets of the demons that almost took me out before I knew Jesus to shine a
light and give hope It is what it is
until it’s not.
I will always be me. In love with a dream and forever missing!!! Even when you are running God is running
next to you. Speak to him; invite Jesus
in every day you are given. Nothing fancy
just open your heart, open your mind, and open your mouth to Him alone. You need not be in a holy place to start
that relationship. If you want change
be the change. Start with Jesus where
you are; surround up with those who believe and dive into His word through
music, through small groups, through bible studies, through the hands and feet
who meet and call it church.
Denying or not thinking about will not change what
is yet to come. Own who you were meant
to be. Let the pain that once was be
the passion that drives you for more.
Deeper, longer and through out eternity. Don’t wait until you no longer get to live
out your freedom of will and choice.
Don’t let destiny choose for you because you did not.
Drink up the life and light and flood your light’s
purpose with Jesus as the gatekeeper.
Now not when he has to reject you at the door because you ignored or
rejected him in the days you called life.
For all who have come and gone. For all that are yet to be. May the son of Abraham and the God of this
universe fill you with peace, hope and eternal love. May we be the mercy, grace, and truth to
shine bright and grow forward. No more
tears, no more pain, no more hate, violence, or sadness. Hear our hearts, our prayers our cries Jesus. Forgive us; forgive me…
Thank you for this day and all that have come to pass
and any on the horizon. Be with me and
all you allow me to connect.

in whom are hidden in all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Isaiah 33:6 He will be the sure foundation for your times,
a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge , the fear of the Lord is
the key to this treasure.
1 Peter 5:5-6 Young men, in the same way be submissive to
those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves
with humility toward one another, because “God opposes the proud but gives
grace to the humble.” Humble yourselves,
