the situation to Me. Back off a bit,
redirecting your focus to Me. I will
either take care of the problem myself or show you how to handle it. In this world you will have problems, but you

food, and the body more than clothes.
Consider the ravens: They do not
sow or reap; they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to
his life? Since you cannot do this very
little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

Sidewalk Prophets
- To live is Christ
WE do not have to measure up to anyone in
this world but the God who allows us to breathe. Wow it sounds so easy to believe when in
truth we all know we get nowhere without the world approving what we do, what
we look like, what we score on a test or even how we win the competition to the
race we run to live.
Our reputation seems to
either be everything we care about and will do nothing to jeopardize it or just
the opposite we do whatever, whenever and care less about what anyone says. Even if it is hurting others or defying the
same rules that apply to keep us safe and out of harms way.
I believe me; I care
what people say about me to a point. I would
never purpose to ever want to lead those that I am blessed to be connected in
the wrong or unsafe directions. Especially
the children of our future.
Never do I take
anything I could not work for or repay if I had to. Truth be told, yes it has not always been
that way that I had a conscious or that I put everything I am into fighting
forward. There were great portions of
my life that I just gave up and could not see anyway out of the darkness.
There have been many
reasons, and times that I have been blessed in guidance when, since I called
upon the name of Jesus to come dwell in all I am. Many more that I can look back in
hindsight and see just how protected and beyond deserving I have been given
healing, gifts of living and strength and courage far outside of who I am
without him.
There is no hidden
secrets when it comes to the truth of the mess I have been over my lifetime and
the roller coaster ride I have taken all the while forgetting to keep my hands and
feet in the ride while in motion.
I won’t always own everything
this journey has allowed. Good, bad, or
indifferent. Some at my own doing,
others at the hands and feet of others even if I let them within arm’s length
to be able to do so.
Always my blessing to
change it when it is not working, change me, or whatever is tied to me that is
not helping me grow forward.
To give away hope, and
the promises of anything good that God breathes in this universe is
foolish. Yet we all do so at one time or
another.
We hold on to things
and people that we believe in even when the best intentions just cannot come to
life; or the empty promises have a way of filling up our reality and truth smacks
us head on.
Sometimes we just like
to hold on to the dream and risk the lost time we will never get back because
of how it makes us feel. Others we like
forget that stuff and keep moving fast and furious never looking back.
We all get to deal with
all our choices in our own way.
Oh, mind maze what is the
point as I sit here and wonder?
Stay out of the weeds and
away from the predators. They come at
all times, all places, and can trip us up in so many different ways.
They can make us think
of something beautiful and leave us bleeding out from the thorns and stinging nettles
when we stay focused on the dream and bold colors of what could be on the other
side of that canvas being painted.
If it is not in the moment
if it cannot reveal its true colors. If
someone always has excuses. If you are
not a priority now. Do you really think
you could be any tomorrows give?
Just because you were
broken yesterday. Does not mean you are
any less perfect from starting to be your best self today.
I go back to again
wondering what is it that you stand for.
And are you standing firm?
If there are secrets
and hidden agenda’s today with you from others; you can guarantee there will always
be from you with someone else down the road.
Worry does nothing
positive for any of us. Truth hurts but
you cannot grow into what you are meant to be without working through it and
owning who you are and the days that you have been given.
Get back up, shake it
off and be your best self for what you were created to be. Not for the world. Not for the empty promises or temporal flattery
or feelings someone makes you feel.
If you were given breath
today. If you were given movement, hearing,
feeling, vision. Dive in and make it
count. Be all you were meant to be
for the God that created you and if you are blessed with something real along
the way. Something that balances you,
and you know you can lean on or a someone can lean on you, and you purpose to
grow forward together. Give
thanks.
Death eventually
becomes us all. Don’t accept defeat or
starve yourself of life before it is your time. Don’t depend on others to bring you
life. Know your boundaries, know your
worth. And count the blessings when you
get that extra bonus that someone else
is a part of your journey for all the good and right reasons.
I could go through and
try to rewrite these thoughts that pour out of this mind maze any given
day. Yet, then I would not be always me
and just unloading some of the things that just come with being me.
All I know is if I am
growing forward. Lord let me grow
forward in and with all you are, all that your son died so we could live
for. Forgive me for all the short
comings I know I have. And all the moments I allow the flesh to drive me into
the unknown when I should cling to the place you chose for me.
Thank you for this day
and any other that may come. Thank you
for all that have led me to you hearing your call. Thank you for all I am connected and all the
beauty, all the ashes and all that is yet to come.
