(Biblegateway.com) Bible Verse of the Day

Matthew 5:43-45 (MSG)

43-47 “You’re familiar with the old written law, ‘Love your friend,’ and its unwritten companion, ‘Hate your enemy.’ I’m challenging that. I’m telling you to love your enemies. Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the supple moves of prayer, for then you are working out of your true selves, your God-created selves. This is what God does. He gives his best—the sun to warm and the rain to nourish—to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice and nasty. If all you do is love the lovable, do you expect a bonus? Anybody can do that. If you simply say hello to those who greet you, do you expect a medal? Any run-of-the-mill sinner does that.

Matthew 5:43-45 (NIRV)

Love Your Enemies

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor. (Leviticus 19:18) Hate your enemy.’ 44 But here is what I tell you. Love your enemies. Pray for those who hurt you. 45 Then you will be children of your Father who is in heaven. He causes his sun to shine on evil people and good people. He sends rain on those who do right and those who don’t.

Ephesians 2:6

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 14:28-32

“Lord if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” he said.  Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.  But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sing, cried out, “Lord, save me!”  Immediately Jesus reached out his hand caught him.  “You of little faith” he said, “why did you doubt?”  And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.

Isaiah 42:3

A bruised reed will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out.  In faithfulness he will bring forth justice.

Daily Journal/Thoughts/ Prayers (my perspectives and/or feelings):

Reminded this morning God is, was and forever will be above all things.   We are guaranteed pain and problem in this life.  But we will never have or suffer as Christ did on that cross.

The world is ever changing and so are those that stand or sit right next to us at any time.

Yet, the peace, mercy and grace of God is eternal for all who believe and walk-in faith with Him.

Sometimes our days feel like those mountains we climb always the up-hill battles or down so deep in the ruts we are paralyzed and cannot get out.

Sometimes the fear within us even when we do not talk about it pours out in the actions and day to day we go through.

It is not easy to stay focused on God especially when we do not know who he really is.  If we do not know Jesus personally, we can only say we know of God and that which we read in the history in the bible the one book that may have many interpretations presented across the world but always remains the same.    John 3:16 (NIRV)    16 God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life.

Years ago, I would have never thought I would be writing, talking or even openly discussing any of my spiritual beliefs with anyone.

When you grow up having to fight and defend your every day just to survive.  You tend to pick your battles and bury deep not allowing anyone know what you really feel deep inside.

You wait, you watch, and you do your best not allowing anyone have any one thing up on you that could cause you more drama, more pain or more anything.

Allowing others close, means you have to become vulnerable and when that happens something or someone always finds a way to chip away pieces.     Not always for their own personal gains.  Sometimes it just is what it is.  Others yes, we in humanity can be very cruel at times and even more selfish at others.

Leaning in and believing we will not have to work at climbing those mountains is foolish.    Anything worth gaining takes work, dedication, and truth.

Fearing what would of, should of or could of; robs us of any beauty that is up ahead.  Especially when we have that personal relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.     Somehow, someway; there truly is beauty in everything we encounter.

Maybe its that silver lining of peace that wraps tightly around us no matter what is going on.  Maybe it is truly the spirit of Jesus living within.

I don’t know.  I can only tell you only from my own broken pieces, fears, doubts, let downs at my own hands and choices or just being collateral damage of others.     I cannot speak about Jesus enough.  Even with the inability to describe or really show you...    I can only tell my story and here I am on the other side of the climb.

No, my journey is not done.  Far from it.   The depths of this soul could drown someone.   That is a fact.   The love and those that have been let in forever.   Well not my plans for sure.

I may plan things for work, my day to day, even vacations or trying to make things happen that just do not make sense.

I can talk about wanting that deep love from the outside in as I have been filled with from the inside out since meeting Jesus right where I was; in my own little mess of any day given.

No one can love me or you like Jesus does.    I cannot explain it, and once you have found that place yourself there is so much different when it comes to loving anyone else in the world that you may or may not have the chance to just wrap your arms around.

Somehow, some way we see things so differently in everything and when you really understand who our creator is and His son Jesus Christ you see Him and the beauty in everything.

God is for us and we are not forgotten.     No matter what is or is not.

When we have tried everything else give Jesus all you are and get up every day or every night; make him here and call upon him and dive in to know who the Son of all Creation really is and who we are to them!

My thoughts, pieces of me over time.   All that pours out of this mind maze at any given time.   I am thankful.  For today and all my yesterdays.

Thankful even if I in the end am wrong.  I am without a doubt, pure in heart, pure intentions with clean hands and abundant moral value, breathing deep each step I climb or forge forward just trying to be.

No one needs to understand my value.   Only their own and for that no one should ever waste a single second; not meeting Jesus for themselves.

Not through churches or crowds or bands or national championships and what the world can so called do for you.    But meet Jesus right where you are each and every day you are allowed back up.
