Happy Friday the 13th
for all you suspicious or superstitious spirits out there. And yes, as it was made to my attention happy
8-13 for all those who live in the Tampa Bay Florida area. Yes, that is our area code.
It really has no significance
unless you want it to be. For me in my
youth was always hurry up and wait to see what freaky things would happen on a
Friday the 13th. As I got
older I just kinda liked the numbers 7, 9 and 13. Not sure why… but I did stop worrying about
what ifs on freaky Fridays because in life stuff happens every day.
Good, bad and
anything in-between. Life, peace, joy
and let-downs, distrust, out right use and abuse. It really is happening in every part of every
day we are given.
The question would
be is what does each one of us plan on doing with whatever comes our way.
Close our eyes and
walk around blind. Until something bad
happens because we do not make any sort of plan or think things through. Or the opposite; plan out so ridiculous
that we stop living.
Or just react to
every single thing that transpires.???
Only each one of the
living souls on this earth get to choose.
I know depending
how you respond in any situation matters.
As a parent I have
always wanted my children to have opportunities I did not. I purposed to make sure they were fully aware
they own the choices they make. And although
I expect them to fight forward and make away.
They know I would always be there for them especially in today’s world where
you just cannot really make it on you own unless you really are dedicated and
have strong will. Especially if you
have children.
So, when I step up
and out and lose my role as grandparent and become the go to. Life gets messy. When kids are old enough to make choices, they
have to own them.
Treating people how
you want to be treated with respect, loyalty and love is an absolute. That goes without saying how you present yourself
and/or what comes out of the loose lips we all at times have.
You cannot take
back the arrows that you freely fire and expect over time that people will not
cut you off, start shooting back or totally disappear out of your life.
At some point it is
not your place to demand a child be, do or anything else that you want from
them. No matter how much good you want
them to have, people in general must own their own behaviors or lack of.
It is not my place
to point out your flaws or what is being done or not done. But I also do not have to listen to it or be
put in the middle of what is not mine to manage.
I am far from
perfect transparent as it gets. I have
my days that I lose my cool and say things I wish I did not and especially when
it comes to people biting the hands that feed them.
Like you hear all
the time about being in the USA, if you do not like it. Leave!
Well, if you do not
like the fact that you are gifted because you needed something from me; if you
do not like the fact that I refuse to be sucked in. And by the way… Yes unless you are paying
rent, paying bills, contributing in some positive fashion not just for me but
for your own future. Either suck it up
or leave.
I do what I do
because I have been blessed over the years to not have burnt up all my brain
cells in the times it gets really hard and, in my youth, especially consuming
too much.
But honestly, I am
over being the go-to and always being available. But as soon as something does
not fit, or you bring someone else in
and there is either no communication at all or it is constant negativity. I know my role and I am out.
I will always be
available to help lead in light. But I
won’t always be there pretending I do not really know what is going on. Nor will I just sit back and tolerate beating
each other up or being pulled into the middle or even being added to the list
because I do not say something in the manner you wish to hear.
As a mother, sister,
grandmother, friend, seasoned career person, and daughter of the most High
God. I know my worth and it is not to
have my very moments that cannot be replaced sucked away with all the
negativity that this world apparently has consumed humanity with.
Every single one of
us need to realize our worth in God the Father and why He called down his one
and only son Jesus Christ to teach, live, suffer, hang on that cross, die and
come back to life again for our humanity
to have abundant life.
No that does not mean
abundant happy moments 24/7. It does not
mean getting our own way or being forgiven each time we wrong something or
someone. But it certainly means we
should be giving our best self and allow the forgiveness we expect from everyone
else around us to flow freely from our own beings.
Concern for our
future and the children of this world.
Without a shadow of a doubt especially being I still have a couple
coming up. But there is nothing I can
do but leave it in the hands of the maker.
Along with all the
other layers that are heavy.
Fake people I am
not one.
Concerned on
driving 6 hours in a tropical storm hitting this weekend; Yes!
Concerned for a
friend who just had nodules found on their lungs and other areas of the body;
Yes!
Concerned about
friends going blind; Yes!
Concerned about
aging parents’ health and well-being and no one there to really help every day;
Yes!
Concerned about
employment, mine and others in this world that have lost everything; Yes!
Concerned how so many
liars, thieves, and hustlers play every single soul out every day and get away
with it; while hard working honest people continually dig themselves out and
lose ground minute by minute; Yes!
Concerned with what
comes next in this Pandemic and all the chaos and garbage that has been tossed
out for the world to now know how to handle; Yes!
Life sucks more
than it can shine at times; but I know if we all spent more time trying to forgive
ourselves, and others. If we all
purposed to consume only what grows kindness, respect then loyalty would be
worth the end result.
We all get there in
our own time. We all make or have made
choices that we wish were different and we all be we want it or not are accountable
for how we will respond, react or whatever else you classify it as of when
choices go well and especially when they go bad.
Stop worrying about
what that one down the street is doing.
Stop flipping out before you even hear the sentence. Stop with all the expectations especially
if you are not doing it your own self.
Judgement is not
our job. But if you choose to do so. Whatever!!!
Today is the first
day of the rest of your life and if you do not purpose to shine bright and if
you cannot find that light to shine under find a way to be one.
Because once our
time is up if you have not gotten it right with your soul and built a relationship
with Christ Jesus as outlined in the bible.
Allow our spiritual
maker to lead you and grow you and heal for all those things you are slowly killing
yourself for that need to be given over to Jesus.
Give as much as you
are able without sacrificing who you are meant to be. Each day you are given allows you time to be
the real you. Stop trying to live through
others or bury who you are by helping others who need to help themselves.
Train your children
up the way they should go; do not leave them the legacy of picking up what they
are watching and think you are not responsible for anything.
It is not a world of
do what I tell you not what I do. Those
days right or wrong are long gone and are not coming back. You are leading by example no matter if you
own the accountability of that or not.
Humility is a hard habit
to create and swallow but I can assure you once you understand who you really
are and release all selfish ambitions and become selfless. It becomes easy to be at last and know you
care for others first. And even with
that you are still responsible for not being anyone’s doormat or whipping post
physically, verbally, emotionally.
We are all the same
but so different; but every single soul granted life mean more to the Father
than anything of this world. Chase
your peace and stop allowing others to chase it for them.
Lead by example how
you want to grow forward. Don’t settle~
Make learning who
you are through Jesus Christ a habit and reap the rewards for blind faith in
what matters not that of schemes or games that so many can easily talk the talk
but rarely with they walk the truth walk or show up.
Thank you, Jesus,
for allowing me this new day. Be with
all that is going on in this world for me and all I am connected. Be
there in the fires, in the storms, in the floods, in the brokenness, darkness,
illness, just being lost light us up Father God. Light us up for and with you.
