4-10 The
earlier revelation was intended simply to get us ready for the Messiah, who
then puts everything right for those who trust him to do it. Moses wrote that
anyone who insists on using the law code to live right before God soon
discovers it’s not so easy—every detail of life regulated by fine print! But
trusting God to shape the right living in us is a different story—no precarious
climb up to heaven to recruit the Messiah, no dangerous descent into hell to
rescue the Messiah. So what exactly was Moses saying?
The word that saves is
right here,
as near
as the tongue in your mouth,
as close
as the heart in your chest.
It’s the word of faith that welcomes God to go to work and set
things right for us. This is the core of our preaching. Say the welcoming word
to God—“Jesus is my Master”—embracing, body and soul, God’s work of doing in us
what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That’s it. You’re not “doing”
anything; you’re simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you.
That’s salvation. With your whole being you embrace God setting things right,
and then you say it, right out loud: “God has set everything right between him
and me!”

God turn it around
Shine the light, kill the switch, stop the madness. As we prepare for the battle of any given
day given. Forgetting truly the blessing
we have been given the ability to get back up one more time.
Sadness and corruption plaguing the very air you give as
blessing while the demons use, abuse, torment what was meant to be for beauty
and good.
Take us back when we knew the war may continue but the
spiritual war has already been won by leaps and bounds through and with you.
Perfectly loved even in the hands of evil. Innocence forever tarnished and scared does
not mean it is over as the breakthrough will come.
How can one not lose their way or the words to fill that writes block as one
missiles fires and we are in the cloud and learning how to code and prepare for
what is next and the other brings us to our spiritual knees in front of you
face down.
Maybe they will understand, maybe they will never. Yet it matters not as long as the love we
know is the truth and the way you breathe into every soul you call your own.
Make a way in and with all that I am and am connected.
Bring me back when ever second engaged and consumed all
that I am with you.
How easy we can forget to secure all that we are in
you. In thanks and gratitude when you
came out of that grave and I don’t know how; yet the same when we come up out
of that water. Forever beyond anything anyone
will ever have control of.
It is you!
Like a child running barefoot through meadows of
wildflowers grabbing and making wishes on the dandelions or four-leaf clovers.
Never suspecting anything but the laughter and giggles that
once were real. As you Christ Jesus
smile down knowing it is done and it is your will that allows what was to overcome
through what will be.
Here we are all we have now is the truth in the depths of
our souls hopefully with the praise and thanks due.
Yet the unique creation we are coming up out of that dust
fighting forward or just fighting.
Perhaps with real hurdles and things to overcome or just the battle that
rages within.
May the lion inside of the lungs that is filled with the air
of life give all we are back to the one who allows us to be in the first place.
Stand tall, stand up.
Even if forever alone or circled buy what can destroy what we know it
here and now.
No one is one size fits all. We will all have like circumstances; all
will have our broken pieces that leave us sometimes to bleed out or even quit.
But we all bleed the same and we all forever beyond the
beginning and beyond any end we may know will belong to Jesus Christ.
From the disabled at birth to disabled in life at the
hands of others.
From the love we lost or the love waiting to connect.
We are and always will be the most beautiful creation that
Christ has ever breathed life into.
We can put all we have into people, places, and
things. We can believe we have life in
all those others give us instead of just giving thanks for the blessings at
that time and place so that when something changes and something is no longer
enough and they reach out past us and the hooks they leave in us feel like our
very souls are being ripped out. Or we
can know how and who truly rescues’ us!
Love is real; for God so loved the world and wanted
relationship he came to life through Jesus Christ who loved and wanted relationship
with and for us.
I have loved for what I knew was love back then and lost
and thankful that when real love came to understand the difference.
The love I have been given in life and the love that will
eternally be in the depths of this soul to forever allow the deep adoration with
want and need to acknowledge all that was, all that I am and all that I will
be. With or without the ability to
touch the real you which flows through these veins.
Filling me with strength, courage even when I cannot go
one more step, or want to keep on keeping on.
It does not matter who gets it or who does not. It does not matter who pretends and who is
real that never steps up. It only
matters who we know is real. We all
may believe in God, we all may believe we get to him, with him through trinkets
or beliefs our world has always put in front of us. But the only one true God and Creator can
only be real through the relationship with Jesus Christ.
Nothing else matters in life in death. Like climbing that rock wall, it is not about
the religion stumbles and surroundings we will need to get up through. Though many things of this world will give
us comfort, excitement and even fill us with deep passion and make us think we
have the greatest of everything that ever was.
It is all temporal until we meet Jesus’ right where we are
every day.
It does not take a rocket scientist to prove the beginning
of time. But if that is what turns on
that light switch and you finally see it.
Just do it.
But who am I but just another speck of dust in this vast universe
trying to make my way? Our hurts,
habits and broken pieces are real. The
moment we were allowed to enter this universe and know what it is to be
human. All that we feel in goodness or
pain, is real. Somedays more than others we will never
understand or hurt so bad not understanding why we do the things we do now wish
to do. Or worse yet believe in those who
do.
Love who you are.
Acknowledge even in the darkness, Jesus is the light here
or on the other side.
Humanity is like a cruel joke at times. Watching the gifts, we are given lost,
tortured, and tormented. While others
just constantly playing into the world’s hands. Never once realizing that it is the God of the
Universe with Jesus Christ who hold the world
No matter if this mind is learning new code, or how
something should technically run. No matter if this soul is aching and in love
with a dream that will never disappear when wide awake.
No matter if you love me or if you don’t.
No matter if you even know me.
I know to whom I belong and if that is all there is. So be it.
There is no great harlequin romance novel to be written even if one is
waiting to come to life.
For the love, honor, truth belongs to the God of all
things and thankfully the Jesus that bled out on that cross came back for you and
absolutely for me.
Life is what it is despite when the broken pieces fit back
into place or not. Give thanks for the
moments you are allowed to get back up even to get just a glimpse from the outside
in.
Lord
Thank you for this new day. You know all things and all the knots in the
heart strings that tangle me up. Be
with my connections, my family, my friends.
Give peace to those trying and grasping to you. Show them the way. May all your children light the path
now. In strength, courage, mercy, and
the grace that only you give.
May you wash the hate away and show the world how to do
more than just get by or survive. Thank
you for this day and all that have been and all that may be. Thank
you Jesus.
