(Biblegateway.com) Bible Verse of the Day

1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV)

13 No temptation[a] has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted[b] beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,[c] he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

I AM LEADING YOU ALONG THE HIGH ROAD, but there are descents as well as ascents.  In the distance you see snow-covered peaks glistening in brilliant sunlight.  Your longing to reach those peaks is good, but you must not take shortcuts.  Your assignment is to follow Me, allowing Me to direct your path.  Let the heights beckon you onward, but stay close to Me.  Learn to trust Me when things go “wrong.”  Disruptions to your routine highlight your dependence on Me.  Trusting acceptance of trials brings blessings that far outweigh them all.  Walk hand in hand with Me through this day.  I have lovingly planned every inch of the way.  Trust does not falter when the path becomes rocky and steep.  Breathe deep draughts of My Prescence and hold tightly to My hand.  Together we can make it!”

John 2:19

Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God.  Then he said to him, “Follow me!”

Philippians 4:19
And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 4:17
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

Habakkuk 3:19
The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he  makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights

Daily Journal/Thoughts/ Prayers (my perspectives and/or feelings):

Thank you, Lord, for the dreams, the love, and the courage that Martin Luther King had and although gone too soon, gave his life fighting to teach us lessons of unity in peace, forgiveness, and equality.

We all have our dreams and desires, but many will not save the future or mankind.  Many will not lead the way in equality and not just for proving I can do something just as good if not better than the next person.

Today as I fiddle around my place I am reminded as the company I am blessed to be employed by recognizes this holiday.

I wonder if our Nation will ever get past the unrest it currently spins in.    This time, this season, this chapter in all the history books far more than fighting for equal rights.

Our nation has protest for everything and even when the voices are heard, for some reason the significance is not changing the world for positive growth.

We are all out here proving something, all out here fighting for our way because we try to prove that our free choice matters.  Even when we do not go back to the beginning to include Jesus in the mix for the truth.   That which without God, without Jesus there would be no freedom of choice.  There would be no humanity.

Lord this world not just in the Nation I live, but the entire world needs Peace and healing.    I pray there will more Martin Luther King nonviolent activists Martin Luther King Jr. - Wikipedia  More Billy Graham’s preaching truth with facts without hate. Billy Graham - Wikipedia

EVERYTHING ALWAYS TIES US BACK to JESUS, always back to the beginning of time.  Although we in humanity forget without history we would not be here today.   Either of and with his message of hope and love; or of  the demons unleashed within the darkness for all who choose everything else but God.

Not everyone was good and yes, this day of celebration for the efforts and strength MLK took to the streets, took to the world.  Giving up any possibility be with what many consider normal and unbothered.   He did it with purpose, within intentionality and with faith and hope all while believing in the God that is bigger than any universe will ever be.

I know we are in the 21st Century so why is this mind maze not recognizing those who even this year went down in history.   And what about other great men that still are out here doing their best in giving life, sharing hope, sharing messages that allow us to never give up.

I have a long list of those when it comes to spirituality, music, or even radical change that no one else remain steadfast and work through the errors of humanity and hold true to what Jesus intended.

I am blessed to be alive in an era where we get to choose and stand up for what we believe.    Where if women want to go prove they are just as equal as a man they can; if they wish to throw themselves to the wolves and be chewed up like a piece of meat they can.   Where Men can choose to hold on to the promise and not falter leading the way.  Where men can choose to dive in and be like the rest of the world or stand tall in leadership, love and purity loving God and loving people as Jesus does.

My perspectives and mind dumps surprise me too at times.

Although I myself am not one to be told what to do and hold minimal trust in humanity. Some more at times than others and some extraordinarily little.

It is days like this in remembrance through all the hypocrisy what such souls as Martin Luther King lived for and died for matters.

What Jesus from the beginning lived, taught, suffered, died, and lives within us if we allow it?  All matters.

Our world needs healing and although it may sound like a tulip fest with a bunch of hippies’ peace-loving humans have their own view of love and harmony as they drop acid and get crazy.

We need healing; we need more radical change; we need more hearts in action of Martin Luther, Billy Graham in our 21st century.

We need to learn to disagree without destruction.

But now that I think of it, we need that desperately in our own homes with our families; with significant others; with  our children.

We need to remember what loyalty and respect mean.  We need to teach our children such things.   Yet instead, we read in the news where so much hurt and anger has transpired it has become more than fighting for one race or the other.   We have to step in and save babies from monsters.

The world has become a cultural cesspool of give them this pill or justify that action because they do not know better.

No big surprise biblically speaking.  It says in the Bible children will dishonor their mothers and fathers.  And Lord knows there have been decades of minds where grown people think it is their right to do what they will with young or weak humans.

But at least for awhile those souls such as Dr. King; stepped up in faith and proved to the world that God never intended for the world to be this way.

That we are all made for more and  all worth far more than those who get on power trips just because they can and destroy and shatter lives.

Oh well; yes, a deep subject!     However, knowing and feeling blessed that as a woman with the ability to read, write, speak, and act.   How blessed I am to be allowed up another day.     Not without my own shattered dreams or pieces of me stuffed back and forcibly fit into this mosaic image on a little speck of the canvas in a world created by someone for something far greater than I will ever be able to envision.

No matter what dreams or aspirations I may have spin; no matter what I can or cannot do.   I know if we are here, we have a greater purpose through any pain the world and those we are connected give or we make.

I know that despite what I cannot; there is even more in Christ I can.   You can!

From all the biblical mercenaries, leaders right up unto the 21st Century were more and more we are disgraced or embarrassed those given the talent and gift to lead let humanity down.

We get to make a difference.  It starts with you; it starts with me.  It starts in our home it starts on the streets.

Can we not fight the good fight for what allows life now, life in the future?

I don’t expect anyone to ever agree with me, this is pieces of me.  My thoughts pouring out.

The same soul that seeks that unconditional forever.  The same soul that craves a love filled by a man called Jesus.

Nothing in this world is promised easy, free, and even pain free.

But it is known we matter; we are created in the image of God and we get to choose.

I pray healing and we choose to be more like those who dare to try and make a difference for Love, Mercy and Grace.

Remember it starts with you and me~

STARTS WITH ME @TobyMac, Aaron Cole
