It is Valentine’s day 2022
and what a day to look at the reminders of what Love really should be in 1
Corinthians 13:4. But before we do; Is
your definition of Love your own or aligned with God’s and what is written of
what he showed and given us?
Me
personally is not about gifts or what others have to prove to me. I can buy myself pretty much whatever I
want. Sometimes I just have to work a
little harder or longer to save up to do so.
But its about that authenticity for all that is unseen in trust, respect
and loyalty for no other reason but for who someone is. 1 Corinthians 13:4 4 Love is patient, love is
kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Read full chapter

world would be if we used God’s definition of love with everyone we connect or
come in contact with. So very well said

So, I don’t seem to find the
drive to be out here seven days a week lately.
Being my work keeps me pretty busy all week long and once the weekend
roles around I do not have it in me to sit in front of my screen. Even if the thoughts are spinning in this
mind maze 24/7.
What I can tell you is
Valentine’s day today is pretty special and hard to forget being I was in labor
for my youngest way back when and although I did not have them on this day the
cool thing was it feel on President’s day the year.
Back when it was cool to
recognize presidents’ day because then things really meant something and not
just a political nasty battle against political parties but really at one point
meant something for the people. But hey
that is an entirely different topic and just my thoughts.
The world is a mess as we the
people contribute to it daily. Like
love we all have our own definitions and/or thought process of what should or
should not be and rarely does it look out and help teach those in / with love
how to find their way to being better and living life well.
Instead, and yes, I am American,
but America is a greedy Nation. To
think in some countries just for education they get their degrees for a few
hundred dollars, and we spend our lives working to pay off student loans.
Much less we classify our
worth by what we flash and have in hand.
Where the poorest countries are the richest in love and true joy even
with nothing having everything. Yes,
there are many that want out to have more and do whatever it takes to take from
those that seem to have it.
But anyway; my perspectives
like love we all decide what it really means to have it, be it or not.
Yes, I am in that grouping to. Although not as materialistic as I was growing
up. I still find the beauty in nice
things. Even if later, I find I really
did not need any of it to be really happy and full of life.
Anyway, it is what it is until
its not! These days I spend my time working
more sometimes harder even if my goal was to limit that and work smarter. But the first thing of working smarter is
stop playing into everyone’s needs that reach out and burying oneself into
their debt or misgivings because you want to see the good in them.
Doesn’t mean they do not have
good about them. Just means your poor
planning should not be my problem. Yet
in the grand nature of who I have always been.
I here and there allow myself to take on other people’s stuff. And I pay the price.
So instead of retiring at the age of 30, 40,
60 or who knows even 70s I work harder to clean up the messiness that rubs off
into my world because kindness is never free or clean.
But I would not be me or who
God allowed this heart to be had I not grown through these life lessons.
Back to love
Ouch! It can hurt when you love anyone for any
reason. Especially if their definition
is only based on what you do for them or you can give them. I wish everyone could learn God’s love and
the sacrifice Jesus was, is and has lived on in love to be so much more for
anyone who believes in all the good he was, he is and always will be.
These days Love has been heavy
for those you care deeply for or about that are going through life and the
cycle that comes full circle in its own steps or paths. Those coming to the end of life and how
cruel the world seems with the brokenness and lack of love that takes over.
Be it quiet alone truths that
haunt many or that where everyone in the world has your business on their
tongues and always seem to have great advice even though they were never part of
the journey all the way through because of their own inhibitors that blocked
really loving someone for who they were and not what they could get.
Thanking Jesus for the strength,
courage and hope to just keep getting back up or over those hurdles that
sometimes we build ourselves or allow to derail, detour us. I am no different for sure. Thankful for another new day with all those
heart strings that are double knotted sometimes feeling like the air is suffocating
and I cannot find that one opening to dive in or through to just keep growing forward. Even if; Even When!
Love well how well do we learn
the truth in what God allowed creation for love to be in humanity? How well do we really love our own selves? Not just for what we can collect or have
that will briefly entertain or fill a deficit?
How well do we love those we have been allowed to just be with, to,
around, passing by or day to day of our journey allowed?
How well do you really know
God and his son who shows us what Love is? You will never be able to outrun His
love for you. And you are loved for who
you are. All that love you for what you do is irrelevant
in the end. Love yourself for who you
were created to be. Love those you have
been blessed.
As for me, I am thankful for
all I have been allowed to learn love from.
I am beyond grateful to have loved and lost than to never been given the opportunity to have any type of
love at all. Most importantly I am
beyond blessed to be in love with who Jesus Christ was, is and forever will
be. All the good, all the light, all the
hope. Will always be worth the breakthrough
and all the seeds planted and growing along the way of this journey.
Love well, love while you
have those in your life and love them for who they are; not what they can be,
do or give. Tomorrow’s never promised and
you can never go back once you toss it aside because its not measuring up to
your definitions or vision.
